Ice-T – Gotta Lotta Love

Now that we got the bullshit rappers out of the way, I thought it would be real fitting to have a REAL O.G. given the Hip Hop Gold treatment and with his directorial debut and new movie coming out soon, it had to be Ice-T. If there was ever a rapper that raised me with his music and teachings like a father, it would be the Iceberg but I’ll go in depth with that in its own post one day. For now, Ice is promoting the peace treaty between the Blood and Crip sets in L.A. Pay attention to the lyrics because you might learn something. By the way, Home Invasion is my favorite album by the Iceberg.

Masta Ace Incorporated – The I.N.C. Ride

This song is off one of my favorite Hip-Hop albums of all time, Sittin’ On Chrome. Not only do I own this album on CD format, I even have the limited edition Chrome colored 12″ Vinyl records limited to only 500 copies worldwide. A lot of people that know me know that I prefer the West over the East when it comes to Hip-Hop and often ask me why do I love this album so much when it was made by Ace and Ace is from NY? Well let me say that this album came out in 1995 around the whole East Coast- West Coast beef and Ace infused his NY lyrics with Digga’s LA inspired beats. Also, this video was filmed in LA and with all the sexy ass women and cars in this video it’d make you say YUM faster than you can think it! If you don’t have this album in your music library, buy it and come this summer pop that sucker into your CD player and the rest is written. Take it from Livin’ Large cause advice like this don’t come every day.

By the way, this album was the reason why Fat Joe and Masta Ace beefed because he felt Ace sold out with his album having a West Coast sound. Look who sold out now…

Kam – Peace Treaty

A lot of people actually believe that the Bloods and Crips never will come together and stop the gang madness but what those people don’t know is that the Bloods and Crips actually signed a Peace Treaty and had peace between the sets from 1992 to 1997 I believe. Personally, I would like to remain optimistic cause if it happen before how come it can’t happen again and don’t categories myself with either the Bloods nor the Crips but I do got respect for both sides and I show it by dressing in both colors. I know who the real enemy is and its neither Blood nor Crip.
